Baseball Québec nominates Richard St-Amour as provincial coordinator for Challenger Baseball Québec

March 7, 2015

Baseball Québec announced today the appointment of Richard St-Amour provincial coordinator of the Challenger Baseball Québec program.

The Challenger Baseball Québec program provides children with cognitive or physical disabilities an opportunity to play baseball in a division specifically created for their particular needs and in a safe environment.

"My first task will be to develop an action plan and solicit the cooperation of people in order to identify representatives in each region of the province." said St-Amour.

St-Amour is already a dedicated volunteer with Baseball Québec adding to his current role as President of Baseball Laval Board.

"I congratulate Richard St-Amour for his new role. We have no doubt it will be a key element for the implementation of this program in the province, "added Jean Boulais, President of Baseball Quebec.

It should be noted that the Challenger Baseball program already exists in other Canadian provinces. This is the result of an agreement between Baseball Canada and Little League Baseball Canada.
